Vermont is in a State of Emergency due to unprecedented rainfall and flooding statewide. Our state is underwater and we won't know the full extent of damage until the rivers recede. Vermont is a brave little state that can withstand freezing cold temperatures, heavy snowfall, the unique challenges that rural living provide, and, yes, flooding. Vermont will rebound like we did after Hurricane Irene in 2011, but it will take time and a lot of hard work.
